
Russell A Certo PT OCS:
Owner
A graduate of Quinnipiac University in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. He is currently Board Certified in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy by the American Physical Therapy Association. Since 1987 Russ has been the Director of Grand Island Physical Therapy. His past experience includes private practice in Connecticut, staff member at Duke University and University of North Carolina Burn Center. He began his career at the Baton Rouge General Hospital in Louisiana. In 2005, he opened the M.O.G. with the vision of building a facility that made exercise a life long habit for people of all fitness levels.
Diane Bly
Fitness Director
Diane has been in the fitness industry for well over 20 years. She most recently held the position of Fitness Director for American Axle and Manufacturing's Buffalo Fitness Center. Diane is also a Certified Personal Trainer and Group Exercise Instructor. She has worked as a Wellness Consultant for many local companies as well as the Niagara Wellness Council. Diane is known in the wellness arena for instructing energizing fitness classes as well as presenting motivating lecture series and health fairs throughout Western New York. Diane has also worked with elementary school children through a local "Adopt a School" program, where she presented programs on the importance of good nutrition as well as physical fitness. In her spare time, Diane enjoys acting in local theatre productions and dancing. Her hope is to enlighten and inspire others to fitness.
Shirley Barberic:
Program Coordinator
Shirley comes to the M.O.G. with almost
nine years experience in an outpatient orthopedics Physical
Therapy Department as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
Following her time there she decided to pursue an interest
in the Physical Fitness Industry. She received an Advanced
Personal Trainer Certification with the Aerobic and Fitness
Association of America in 2002. Since then Shirley has been
developing and implementing unique fitness classes for all
age groups and special populations.
